Hazem Haniyeh, the son of Ismail Haniyeh, the head of Hamas's political bureau, was killed in an Israeli airstrike in Gaza, as per reports. Reports said 22-year-old Hazim lost his life on February 10 as Israeli warplanes struck a residential neighbourhood in the coastal territory. The US CENTCOM said its forces attacked two Houthi boats and several missile sites in Yemen. Lebanon’s Iran-backed armed faction Hezbollah said it had seized an Israeli Skylark drone over Lebanese air space “in good condition”. The Hamas-run health ministry claimed at least 28,064 Palestinians had been killed in Israeli strikes across Gaza since October 7. On February 9, the IDF said it also struck a Hezbollah command centre and its air defence unit. Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah met with Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian in Lebanon. Hamas warned that there could be “tens of thousands” of dead and injured if the Israeli military attacks Rafah.
