A probe into the Israeli Prime Minister's Office has yet again raised questions whether the PM had indications of a possible Hamas attack. The probe is finding whether the PM knew about the activation of Israeli SIM cards in Gaza, the first early indications of a Hamas attack on the night of October 6-7. This issue was highlighted by Yediot Ahronot reporter Ronen Bergman in recent reports. According to the report, the SIM cards were the product of an espionage operation intended to enable a warning ahead of a possible attack. Hamas fighters obtained the Israeli SIM cards to use once they entered Israel, as their existing cell phones would lose reception.
